Online Diving lessons has been started by PADI Diving Instructor Simon Timmins (Padi number 606868) to offer an easy and affordable way for diving students to study the academic part of their PADI diving courses at home/in the office instead of wasting a day of their holidays studying in a hot classroom when they would rather be enjoying themselves.
I am offering online diving lessons for the PADI Open Water Diver course (the equivalent of PADI e-learning) for only $40 USD for the first 200 people.
Why spend $132 USD + with PADI to do PADI e-learning when you can pay $40 USD with Online Diving Lessons to do the same thing?....to get the PADI academics out of the way before you go on holiday to do the diving course in the water.
Not only that but, if you actually complete your full PADI Open Water diver course with PADI Instructor Simon Timmins (Padi number 606868) in Mactan, Cebu, Philippines I will give the Online lessons for free.
It is important to understand that.my online lessons are not the same as Padi e-learning, but it achieves the same thing, namely...it allows a student to complete the academics of a course before the student goes on holiday, so they can save a day. With Padi e-learning everything can be done interactively on the computer with an online e-book. I do not provide an online e-book. Padi do not make ebooks available to anyone. However, with my online lessons the customer does not need to use a manual to complete the academics (although it is recommended if the student can borrow or buy one). We can speak on skype and go through the academics online without a manual. I can send a pdf file with the Knowledge reviews for the student to print out, complete, scan and then send back to me for review. Its the same with the tests and the final exam. At some point before the end of the course you will be required to have your own PADI Open water diver manual. It is included in the price of a course so, if you buy one yourself, it is not unreasonable for you to ask the diveshop where you go to complete your course to give you a discount for the cost of the manual.
The other advantages of doing the academics with Online Diving Lessons is that you will get a far more personal service than with PADI. You can speak to PADI instructor Simon Timmins directly over skype and email me directly with any queries or questions. You cannot speak to a PADI instructor if you carry out PADI e-learning on the PADI website.
Once you have completed your Online lessons with me you will be presented with documentary proof that you have completed the academic portion of the Open water Diver course on a Referral Form which you can present to any PADI dive centre as proof of completion of the academic part of the course. This should enable you to get a discount on the course price and will also mean that your course will be shorter and your holiday one day longer!
Online lessons for the complete academic part of the Padi Open Water Diver course are available for only $40 USD for the first 200 customers.
